Well & Fed: the new wellness cafe in Peckham
After the rubbish news about our much loved Brick House Bakery is closing due to high rents and the worry of what will replace it (i.e it better not be a chain!) it’s nice to know a little further up the road Peckham has welcomed a new INDEPENDENT coffee shop Well & Fed.
Well & Fed is the latest cafe to open on Queen’s Road Peckham (Oct 2019) and it’s on a mission to help people live and eat consciously with the belief that wellbeing and food can come together to connect people and enhance their lives, physically and mentally.
Their focus is natural and wholesome, sustainably sourced and predominantly meat-free food whilst operating a zero-waste menu. You can choose from all-day brunch options like Cinnamon Porridge with Stewed Apples and Caramel (£6), Pepper and Tomato Stew on Sourdough served with a dollop of garlic yoghurt, one poached egg and avocado on the side (£8.50), Kale and mushrooms with thyme and garlic on sourdough
(£6.50). They also have plans to host an ongoing series of wellbeing events and their own product lines. Nice! Go and check them out - because we need to support local indie businesses!
