Peckham Craft Show, an immersive craft showcase is being held in Peckham's Copeland Gallery this week until the 12th May.
Peckham Craft Show, now in it's third year, is held in partnership with London Craft Week and sees the work of 50 + crafts people displayed in beautiful, immersive still-lifes and a series of engaging workshops and installations.
Peckham Craft Show has a fun and engaging workshop program all taking place with the backdrop of the exhibition. Mila Harris-Mussi, www.milaharrismussi.co.uk textile artist, will be will explore the process of natural dye. Louisa Loakes www.louisaloakes.com will host a Block Printing workshop where participants will learn to print their own lengths of fabric as well as free, communal tapestry weaving workshops led by Peckham Craft Show makers. This year sees the first of Peckham Craft Show’s talk series. The first, in collaboration with Soft Thoughts, will be a conversation on all things textiles with some of our exciting and thoughtful makers. One of the highlights of the show is the opportunity to visit the exhibition after hours and take part in a still life drawing workshop. This year’s is led by Ruby Bateman, artist and life drawing tutor who will lead you round the space drawing from our beautifully curated still-lifes.
