Free screening: new Netflix-produced film, directed by an Oscar nominee

Think Malawi - a London based charity supporting education in Malawi is hosting a special charity screening of The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind in East Dulwich on March 7th.

The new Netflix-produced film, directed by and starring Oscar nominee Chiwetel Ejiofor (Twelve Years a Slave, Doctor Strange). The film is based on a true story about a 13-year old boy who was inspired by a science book to build a wind turbine to save his Malawian village from famine. This feature film is based on the book written by William Kamkwamba and Bryan Mealer about William's life. You can watch the trailer here.

This event also includes a special Q&A featuring the film's cinematographer Dick Pope (Secrets & Lies, The Illusionist), Malawian script translator Samson Kambalu who was closely involved in the production, plus special video material from Malawi.
