The Peckham and Nunhead Free Film Festival is a not-for-profit community group that organises free neighbourhood film festivals, to encourage community involvement through film.
The first Free Film Festival took place in 2010 in Peckham and Nunhead, with the idea soon spreading to other parts of London. Each festival is run by its own group of volunteers to bring people together to enjoy films they might not have seen in places they may not have been - it's such a fun and inclusive concept.
From 31st August to 16th September you can enjoy a number of films you might not of seen before at a variety of locations in Peckham and Nunhead. From venues like The Nunhead Cemetery, Peckhamplex cinema, Theatre Peckham, Brick Brewery, The Bussey Building, Peckham Springs, The Ivy House pub, and loads more.
The Peckham and Nuhead Free Film festival is a completely FREE event as it is funded through grants from local authorities and sponsorship by local businesses. This amazing support means that this London Film festival is open to everyone to enjoy.
We’re funded through grants from local authorities, for example, as well as through sponsorship by local businesses, crowdfunding, bucket collections and other welcome donations. It’s this fantastic support that means we can keep all our events free, so everyone can enjoy them.
Events like this is what makes Peckham and Nunhead one of London's most creative areas. Make sure you catch at least one film in one of these cool venues.
