2. Zapoi Peckham
Zapoi bar opened earlier in the Summer and it was an instant hit. You may struggle to find the shabby-chic bar as it’s yet to get a sign, website or social channels - but this just adds to its elusive charm. Zapoi brings a stylish vintage-style bar to Peckham high street. The mismatched floral seating, distressed walls, vintage furniture and botanical decor really epitomizes the shabby chic vibe. It’s a spacious bar spanning across two floors, downstairs you will find the bar serving craft cocktails and upstairs a chill-out lounge area with sofas and comfy seating. With the focus being on craft cocktails, there is no menu. Either you ask the mixologist for your favourite tipple or tell them what flavours or spirits you like and watch your cocktail get muddled together by an expert hand. They serve quality cocktails at a reasonable price of around £6, which you can enjoy as you lay on your very own chaise lounge.
(If you’re trying to find Zapoi - it’s near John the Unicorn, opposite Morley’s chicken shop)
138, Rye Lane, Peckham, SE15
3. Forza Wine
Forza Wine is the latest offering from Peckham’s contemporary and hugely popular Italian food restaurant Forza Win. The new wine bar is situated on the fifth floor of Market Peckham - the newly renovated space on Rye Lane. Take the lift at the entrance of Market all the way up to the rooftop where you will be greeted with amazing 360 views across London and a stylish-design led bar.
There is a selection of wine, cocktails (try the frozen Negroni) and beers and Italian bar snacks along the lines of sausage and fontina toasties and grilled sardines.
