SE15 picks: ridiculously cute candles by Maza
If you’re looking for ridiculously cute works of art when it comes to your candle collection, look no further than South East London brand MAZA. Inspired by art, design and sculpture, MAZA creates the most beautiful candles with collections featuring pastel shells, Grecian pillars and Soleil tequila sunrise colourways.
All MAZA candles are made from soy wax and are 100% vegan friendly and cruelty-free. Each piece can take up to 12 hours to make (!) and all are made in very small batches by founder Maisie at her home-studio in Peckham. It’s not just us that find it hard to burn a beautiful candle as Maisie by her own account says on her website ‘we believe our candles are best kept and displayed as decorative wax ornaments, we won’t judge if you wish to set them alight – they are designed to be burned after all. But let's face it, do you really want to set something this pretty on fire?’ agreed, we just couldn't!
