The Habit - now closed

The Habit which opened in 2016 is a modern British Bistro sitting alongside other shops and restaurants down Nunhead Lane. he space is flooded with natural light and decorated simply with white walls, wooden tables and hanging light fixtures, creating a spacious and airy atmosphere. They are open for brunch and lunch all week and for dinner Friday and Saturday. The menu is simple and like many cafes and restaurants in SE15 a lot of the produce is sourced locally.

They do a superb brunch which is served until 4pm, check out our previous blog post about brunching a The Habit here. Dinner is served until 11pm and consists of a simple yet delicious menu like buttermilk chicken & apricots, charred leeks & ricotta and braised octopus, chilli & lime. Mains are between £10/£12 and desserts £5/£6. They also offer a selection of Aperitifs and after dinner tipples like a passionfruit rose.

Opening hours; Tues- Thurs 8.30am-5pm, Fri-Sat 8.30am-11pm, Sun 9am-4pm, Mon closed.
