This weekend is all about Arts & Crafts - get involved!

Looking for things to do in Peckham this weekend? As we head into Autumn we are swapping boozy park picnics for a bit of Arts & Crafts! This weekend in Peckham there are a whole host of art and craft events (and they are all FREE).

If you head down to Copeland park this weekend and you will find two brilliant markets. The hugely popular Peckham Salvage Yard will have over 50 hand-picked traders selling all sorts of vintage gems like homeware, reclaimed industrial fixtures and unusual lighting features, the perfect place for a bit of vintage-style interior inspo. Alongside Peckham Salvage yard you will also find an Etsy Artisans market in the Copeland Gallery. The Artisans market, which is set up by a South East London Etsy team will have lots of Etsy sellers stalls selling various handmade goods like jewellery, upcycled homeware and vintage pieces. There is also going to be a Guinness bar inside Copeland Gallery - so you can sip on a pint of Guinness as you peruse the stalls.

If you are feeling like your’e in need of some culture this weekend then you’re in luck. A new exhibition has just opened at the bo.lee gallery in Peckham. ‘Tension Surface’ is a solo show by artist Bea Haines, a multidisciplinary visual artist based in London that explores the human condition through an examination of our relationships with each other, our environment and mortality. If you’re feeling a little peckish head up to One & All cafe where you can grab a tea for £1 or 2 Girl’s vegan cafe - they make some seriously tasty vegan sweet treats.

In the mood for a thought provoking Sunday? Well, ask yourself this ‘what would you do if you only had to work two hours a day?’ Not sure? Head down to The Montpelier Pub in Peckham to watch a free 40 min art documentary which explores the idea of a ‘2 hours work per day’.
