Just 'Say Mum's' - for authentic Caribbean street food

We came across this small family-run business on Instagram where ‘Say Mum’s has grown its business by sharing two meals on Instagram each week which people can order directly. The meals are only available Friday and Saturday and the menu changes weekly.

The name ‘Say Mum’s’ comes from the slang term - for when someone doesn’t believe you so they say ‘say mum’s’ to make sure you’re not lying - a lighthearted name which also ties back to why they launched in the first place - their love for their Mum’s tasty Caribbean food. Say Mum’s is a local Peckham family-run venture which started because the family decided their Mum’s culinary skills were too good to just share with family and friends so in June this year they decided to share it with their Insta community as well.
Say Mum’s describe their dishes as ‘Carribean infused food made with love’. The dishes are inspired by their mum’s traditional Carribean cooking - using authentic Carribean flavours to create tasty street food style dishes such as curry goat served with rice peas and coleslaw (£7) and sides like plantain (£1.50) and macaroni cheese (£2.50) all homemade in their residential Peckham kitchen.
You can only order on Friday and Saturday from 16:30-22:00 choosing from 2 meals and a couple of specials. You can check the menu on their Instagram for collection or delivery (within a 1-mile radius) they are now also on Uber Eats!
