Trendy streetwear brand Wavey Garms wants your old coat to go to a homeless person
Wavey Garms, based in Holdrons Arcade in Peckham are supporting Wrap Up London charity by asking you to donate your old coats!
For the 8th year running Wrap Up London will be collecting old, unwanted coats and giving them to charities that support the homeless, refugees, children living in poverty and people fleeing domestic violence. In December, the sorted coats will be distributed to charities across London - Wrap Up London don’t distribute the coats to those in need directly, because we want to help charities create lasting exchanges with those they set out to help. So when a vulnerable Londoner reaches out to a charity for a coat this winter, they will also discover the other resources and forms of support available to them.
So how can you help? If you are local to Peckham, drop off your old coat to Wavey Arms in Holdrons Arcade and they will work with Wrap up London to give your old coat to someone who is desperately in need of it. There are loads of places across London to donate your old coats - find out more here.
Or as Wavey Garms put it - ‘if all your coats are to crud to give away, how about buy em a coffee or offer a cheeky Blem? It’s nice to be nice’
